The Coming We Expected

Matthew 24:29  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33  So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36  But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37  But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Who in his right mind would say, “Hmm, verse 30 is one coming and then just seven verses later I think He must be talking about a totally different coming for some reason. No particular reason because you can’t TELL that it’s different in any way. But I just know it wasn’t like I thought it should be in that first one–with the sky falling and everything. I mean, it SAYS the sky would fall and everything in that first coming, just like it will at the end of time–for real that time, of course. BUT the first one already happened and the sky didn’t fall. So that must not be THE coming. But now in verse 37 I just KNOW the sky WILL fall in that one. So, because I just know the first one didn’t happen like I expected, I have decided the coming in verse 37 is a totally different thing, thousands of years later, and it will be all that I expect. And if you don’t believe what I have decided, well, you are going against the Word of God and I fear for your soul!”?

Did Jesus SAY He was coming twice in the clouds? Did He SAY they would see Him coming twice? Whatever is not of faith is sin.

How Many Times Will God Have to Make Things New?

Isaiah 62:2  And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

We think THIS new name is “Christian” and we already have it.

Revelation 2:17  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. Revelation 3:12  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

I’m not sure WHAT we think THIS new name is, but apparently God is going to give us yet another new name if traditional thinking is correct.

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We believe this has happened and all things have been made new.

Revelation 21:5  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

We believe this hasn’t happened and God is going to, once again, make all things new.

Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

Isaiah 66:22  For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

We think this has happened and we are in the new heavens and new earth (the church).

2 Peter 3:13  Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Revelation 21:1  ¶And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

We believe this hasn’t happened and God is going to make yet another new heavens and new earth.

Hebrews 12:22  But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23  To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24  And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

We believe this has happened and we are now in this new Jerusalem.

Revelation 3:12  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. Revelation 21:2  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

We believe this hasn’t happened and another new Jerusalem is going to be brought down out of heaven.

How many times is Jesus going to have to make all things new?

Enoch and the Timing of the Judgment

Most think my view of end times is new but it’s not. It’s just been hushed up by people who didn’t believe it. You may not think the book of Enoch is inspired. But that’s neither here nor there when it comes to whether the doctrine I believe is new or old. And what Enoch has to say fits right in with Luke’s chronology of the ancestry of Jesus.

1 Enoch 10.12 And when they [the fallen angels] and all their children have battled with each other, and when they have seen the destruction of their beloved ones, bind them for seventy generations underneath the rocks of the ground until the day of their judgment and of their consummation, until the eternal judgment is concluded.

If we look at Luke’s chronology of the birth of Christ we will see seventy generations from Enoch to Jesus. And the end of Jesus’ generation was when this eternal judgment and the consummation came.

“From a preterist perspective, 1 Enoch adds considerable weight to the many passages in the New Testament which clearly indicate that the consummation of the age together with Christ’s second coming took place in A.D. 70 (in the destruction of Jerusalem). This being the case, it should not surprise us to learn that 1 Enoch was banned by Hilary, Jerome, and Augustine and was subsequently lost to Western Christendom for over a thousand years. In short, it was suppressed. Why? Because it could not be made to fit their idea that Christ’s coming had not yet been fulfilled. 1 Enoch’s “seventy generations” was too problematic. It could not be made to stretch beyond the First Century. Copies of 1 Enoch soon disappeared, and were it not for the fact that a number of copies have since been discovered and translated, we would have no knowledge of 1 Enoch outside of the references made to it in the Book of Jubilees, the Testament of the Twelve Patriarchs, and in the writings of the Apostolic Fathers (many of whom regarded 1 Enoch as Scripture: i.e. Barnabas, Athenagoras, Clement of Alexandria, Irenaeus, and Tertullian).

“That Jude regarded 1 Enoch as Scripture can hardly be doubted, not simply because he quotes from it, but also because he makes no distinction between 1 Enoch and other Scriptures. “Now I desire to put you in remembrance,” Jude writes, after which he alludes to two events recorded in the Old Testament and one recorded in 1 Enoch:

“…the Lord, having saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. And angels that kept not their own principality, but left their proper habitation, he hath kept in everlasting bonds under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them…in like manner…are set forth as examples…. (Jude 5-7)

“That Jude would tell his Christian readers to remember something recorded in 1 Enoch is significant. First of all, it indicates that Christians were familiar with 1 Enoch; second, it shows that Christians regarded the contents of 1 Enoch as historically reliable. In other words, it cannot be consistently maintained that Jude’s believing 1 Enoch to be authoritative was an isolated case among the first century Christians.” (Bill Moore, http://www.gracecentered.com/christian_forums/end-times-forum/1-enoch-preterism/msg828833/?topicseen)

Count the generations in Luke 3 and decide for yourself whether Enoch was right about when Christ would come and when the eternal judgment of the angels would be. Enoch prophesied about it, Jude quoted from him, and Luke confirmed that what he said was true. So,

1 Enoch 10.12 And when they [the fallen angels] and all their children have battled with each other, and when they have seen the destruction of their beloved ones, bind them for seventy generations underneath the rocks of the ground until the day of their judgment and of their consummation, until the eternal judgment is concluded.

We do know that the OT prophesies that redemption and judgment would come hand in hand.

Isaiah 25:5  Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. 7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations. 8  He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. 9  ¶And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. 10  For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill. 11  And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands. 12  And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust. Isaiah 26:1  In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks. 2  Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in. 3  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. 4  Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: 5  For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust. 6  The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy. Isaiah 26:19  Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. 20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. 21  For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. Isaiah 27:6  He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit. 7  Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him? 8  In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind. 9  By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up. 10  Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof. 11  When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour. 12  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel. 13  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

No Place to Go but Down

Once upon a time in a land far, far away, The Son of God was talking to some people.

And while some were speaking of the temple, how it was adorned with noble stones and offerings,

he said,

“As for these things that you see, the days will come when there will not be left here one stone

upon another that will not be thrown down.”

And they asked him, “Teacher, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when these things

are about to take place?”

And he said, “See that you are not led astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and,

‘The time is at hand!’ Do not go after them.

“And when you hear of wars and tumults, do not be terrified, for these things must first take place,

but the end will not be at once.”

Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be

terrors and great signs from heaven.

“But before all this they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the

synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors for my name’s sake.

“This will be your opportunity to bear witness.

Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer,

for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able

to withstand or contradict.

“You will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you

they will put to death.

“You will be hated by all for my name’s sake.

But not a hair of your head will perish.

By your endurance you will gain your lives.

“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near.

Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart,

and let not those who are out in the country enter it,

for these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written.

“Alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days!

For there will be great distress upon the earth and wrath against this people.

They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and

Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

“And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity

because of the roaring of the sea and the waves,

people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world.

“For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

“Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because

your redemption is drawing near.”

And he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees.

As soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near.

So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near.

“Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

“But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness

and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap.

For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth.

“But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things

that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Questions:

1.    When was this going to happen?

2.    To whom was it going to happen?

3.    Does this say you and I will be brought before kings and governors or not a hair on our head will perish?

4.    Would there be signs in the heaven before this happened?

5.    Why were those in Judea to flee to the mountains?

6.    If these were the days of vengeance to fulfill all that was written, will more days of vengeance come?

7.    Is Jerusalem still being trampled underfoot by the Gentiles until their time is fulfilled?

8.    Was this coming on the whole world?

9.    Would they see Jesus coming in the clouds like He promised, with power and great glory?

10.  Would the kingdom of God be near at this point?

11.  Would that generation pass away before all of these things happened?

12.  Would heaven and earth pass away during this time?

13.  Was this coming on those people while they might be involved with the cares of this earth (living)?

14.  Was it coming on those who dwell on the face of the whole earth?

15.  Were these people to pray that they would be able to stand before Christ when He came?

16.  Is all this going to happen again at some later time, but for real next time?

You don’t need to answer the questions, of course, at least not to me. But I think we can all see that this is one story, happening to these people. When it happened the kingdom of God would be near, their redemption would be near, they would see Jesus coming in the clouds like He said, the heavens and earth would pass away, and it was all going to happen in that generation. Some will say that it did but it will still happen again–because they can’t believe that’s all there is (they want the physical stuff, not just to have a relationship with Him). Some will say it didn’t happen to them but is still going to happen–because they cannot believe anything like this has happened. Everybody wants physical death to end and us to rise with Christ in brand-new bodies.

Colossians 3:1  If ye then be risen with Christ

Romans 8:8  So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9  But ye are not in the flesh,

Romans 6:4  like as Christ was raised up from the dead . . . even so we also should walk in newness of life.

2 Timothy 1:10  But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

1 Cor 15:26 the last enemy is done away–death;

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Hebrews 12:22  But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem

Where can we go from the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem? There’s no place to go from there but down.

Isaiah’s New Heavens and New Earth

Isaiah 51:16  And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.

“That I may PLANT the heavens, and LAY THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE EARTH”? What is THAT? Had God not already planted the heavens and already laid the foundations of the earth? Of course He had, but this is something different. This is when He says to Zion, “Thou art my people.” THAT is when the NEW heavens and NEW earth would be planted.

Isaiah 51:4  ¶Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.5  My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust. 6  Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

This was when the old would vanish away because it had waxed old. Remember this below?

Hebrews 8:13  In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

And look at this:

Psalms 102:25  Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. 26  They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:

All of WHO was going to perish? All of the physical earth and all of the heavens? What sense would that make? No, all of the PEOPLE of the OLD covenent.

Ps 102:27  But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end. 28  The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.

The children of thy servants shall continue, and their SEED shall be established before thee? What does this mean?  It means that AFTER the old heavens and earth have vanished away, STILL people will be born and raised and live for God on earth. There is no “seed” in heaven. So this CANNOT be talking about the end of time. And it is repeated here:

Hebrews 1:10  And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11  They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12  And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

And we could, of course, add to this the rest of the quote from Psalms: “The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.” There is just no way to make this say anything different. God was going to remove the Jews as His chosen people, finish up His covenant with them, fold them up like a vesture, and have a new covenant with both Jew and Gentile here on this earth.

Back to Isaiah 51:

7  Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.8  For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.

They would be folded up like a garment (vesture) but God would give salvation from generation to generation. Generation to generation is NOT heaven, where there IS no generation to generation, again unless we want to redefine that word for yet a second time.

Is 51:9  ¶Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?10  Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over? 11  Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.12  I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; 13  And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor? 14  The captive exile hasteneth that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail.15  But I am the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is his name. 16  And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.

This is not talking about the physical earth and heaven. He put His words in their mouth that He might plant the heavens and lay the foundations of the earth and say to Zion, “Thou art my people.” It’s spiritual, it’s spiritual, it’s spiritual. We have to get that through our heads.

Is 51:17  ¶Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out. 18  There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she hath brought forth; neither is there any that taketh her by the hand of all the sons that she hath brought up.

Isaiah 52:7  ¶How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! 8  Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.9 Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem. 10  The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

And then comes chapter 53, which is possibly the most beautiful chapter of the whole Bible. We know, of course, that that is all about Jesus. And then:

Isaiah 54:1  ¶Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.

Isaiah 60:3  And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.Isaiah 60:5  Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

And this is why there is no more sea in Revelation. The sea (the Gentiles) are now a part of God’s people.

Revelation 21:1  ¶And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Remember, the new heavens and new earth was just the new order of things, when God’s seed would go on from generation to generation, so it is on this earth.

Isaiah 60:11  Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.

What is this saying? That the Gentiles will bring people into heaven? No, this is talking about the church. We KNOW that. We have ALWAYS known it but, sadly, we didn’t put the puzzle pieces together.

Isaiah 62:2  And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

But let’s go back to chapter 60 of Isaiah. I think we know this is talking about the coming of the church or kingdom. And look at it. Really LOOK at it and understand what it is saying.

Isaiah 60:1  ¶Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.2  For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. 3  And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.4  Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. 5  Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.6  The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD. 7  All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.8  Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? 9  ¶Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee. 10  And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.11  Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought. 12  For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.13  The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. 14  The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. [remember, we have COME to Mt. Zion and we have COME to the city of God!] 15  ¶Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. [again, many generations, so this can’t be heaven]16  Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. 17  For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.18  Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise. 19  The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.20  Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. [no more crying, and this is NOT heaven] 21  Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. [the people are righteous–no more sinners] 22  A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.

This is NOT talking about the end of time. We KNOW that. It is talking about the glorious body of Christ, wherein is no need of the sun, where no night is, where mourning is gone and there is no more crying.

Isaiah 65:19  And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

This is another beautiful chapter of Isaiah:

Isaiah 65:1  ¶I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name. 2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;3  A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;

6  Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,7  Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.

God was going to take vengeance on the Jews.

9  And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.

12  Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not. 13  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed: 14  Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.15  And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name: When would His servants be called by another name? WHEN HE SLEW THE JEWS! The DOJ came and we see in Revelation that we got a new name. John the Baptist and Jesus came to the JEWS preaching the exact same thing. But we’re so vain, we probably think their words are about us.

Isaiah 62:2  And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

THAT is the name of the heavenly Jerusalem. That is the name of God’s city. And we are in it!

But back to Isaiah 62:

17  ¶For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. 18  But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.19  And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

25  The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

Again, we have always said that this is in the church. We said that because we were trying to prove that the church was the kingdom and that the kingdom had actually come. But it is coming back to bite us in the butt because if it IS the church, then there is NO MORE CRYING in the church and NO MORE NIGHT and NO MORE THIRST.

THESE were the prophecies to the JEWS. Did God fulfill these promises to them or not? If He did, then our tears have been wiped away and there’s no more crying, no more hungering, no more thirsting, and no more night. If He didn’t, again, we have to deal with the thought that GOD did not keep His covenant with the Jews and didn’t fulfill the promises He made to them. Which will it be?

I know nobody will probably deal with any of this. Someone might come back saying I’m misinterpreting it or mixing it up or twisting it. But no one will explain how I am doing that or tell me what all these passages really do mean. Maybe someone will say that SPIRITUALLY these things have happened but WE are waiting for the BEST–when they happen PHYSICALLY, making the spiritual come before the physical, which is backward, and making the physical more important than the spiritual. But it won’t matter what anyone says. Isaiah prophesied of all of this to be in the church. And it is. The new heavens and new earth are here and we are living in them. The only reason we don’t see it is that we are just like the Jews, expecting and waiting for something physical. So we deny that it’s happened and keep on waiting, just like they do. We’re like babies getting a toy and saying, “Is that all? Is there a bigger toy in there?” Or worse, somebody gives us a beautiful expensive toy and all we want to do is play with the box.

Harvest and Sons of Bondwoman and Freewoman

Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

John 4:35  Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

Was the harvest white and ready but not picked for 2000 (or maybe a million) years?

And speaking of growing together, did the son of the bondwoman and the son of the freewoman not grow together until the son of the free woman was weaned? While they grew together the son of the freewoman was nursed with milk (comparing to spiritual gifts). But the time came when the son of the bondwoman had to be cast out. This is too easy to miss.

Genesis 21:10  Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

Paul brings this up when it’s happening.

Galatians 4:29  But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. 30  Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. 31  So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

Paul couldn’t have been telling them to cast out the bondwoman if she had already been cast out. He said, “Even so it is now.” The bondwoman’s son was still alive and well and persecuting the son of the freewoman just like Ismael mocked Isaac. But it was about to come to an end.

IF this does not mean what I am saying, someone PLEASE tell me what it DOES mean. Thank you!

Coming of the Kingdom

Acts 1:5  For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. 6  ¶When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7  And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Most of us have read this all our lives and walked away thinking Jesus said, “You can’t know when the kingdom is coming–not even the season. That’s in God’s power, not yours. But, hey, I guess I’ll go ahead and tell you after all; it will be in a few days”?

What else did Jesus say was also in the power of the Father?

Matthew 24:34  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man [but pray the season isn’t winter!], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Do you reckon the restoration of the kingdom, the passing of heaven and earth, and Jesus’ coming again were to happen at the same time? And would they all happen in that generation? I’m just asking.

Matthew 16:27  For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.28  Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
